Les Binks, lo storico batterista della band, se ne è andato all'età di 73 anni

Attraverso il canale YouTube The Metal Voice abbiamo appreso la triste notizia che Les Binks, batterista dei Judas Priest dal 1977 al 1979, è passato a miglior vita. Compare su ''Stained Class'' (anche co-autore del classico ''Beyond the Realms of Death''), ''Killing Machine'' e il mitico ''Unleashed in the East''. Le cause non sono chiare e la data della morte risale al 15 marzo scorso. Tramite il sito Funeral Times risultava ricoverato presso un ospedale di Londra, e si è spento all'età di 73 anni circondato dai propri cari.

Nel 2022 ha partecipato anche lui all'introduzione nella Rock and Roll Hall of Fame del gruppo, esibendosi con un medley di 3 brani composto da ''You've Got Another Thing Comin'', ''Breaking the Law'' e ''Living After Midnight''. La band ha condiviso il seguente cartello di commiato attraverso i social: ''We are deeply saddened about the passing of Les and send our love to his family, friends and fans. The acclaimed drumming he provided was first class - demonstrating his unique techniques, flair, style and precision - Thank you Les - your acclaim will live on...''.
