Chad Smith attivissimo: dopo i Chickenfoot arriva un album solista
Appena terminata l'esperienza con i Chickenfoot, il batterista dei Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chad Smith (nella foto), ha rivelato i dettagli del suo solo album.
Il disco si chiama “Chad Smith´s Bombastic Meatbats: Meet The Meatbats” è uscirà negli States il 15 settembre. Un lavoro scritto e registrato nella sua abitazione di Malibu (Los Angeles), dieci brani strumentali tra cui: “Battle For Ventura Blvd”, “Night Sweats” e “Need Strange”. Per quanto riguarda le fonti d´ispirazione, Chad ha dichiarato “Diverse rock band britanniche hanno influenzato il set. Attraverso mio fratello ho conosciuto gruppi anni ´60 e ´70. I Led Zeppelin con John Bonham, Ginger Baker dei Cream, i Deep Purple con Ian Pace...tutti gruppi che ho adorato”. (Newsic)
