Una triste notizia per tutti i fan: è morto all'età di 88 anni il chitarrista e membro fondatore Matt ''Guitar'' Murphy
Una triste notizia per tutti i fan dei Blues Brothers, è morto all'età di 88 anni il chitarrista e membro fondatore, Matt "Guitar" Murphy. Era nato a Sunflower, nel Mississippi, il 29 dicembre 1929. Oltre a suonare nella band creata da John Belushi e Dan Aykroyd, Murphy è stato sideman per Muddy Waters, James Cotton e molte altre leggende del blues.
La notizia è stata confermata il 15 giugno sul profilo Facebook del nipote, Floyd Murphy Jr. Le cause del decesso non sono state specificate. Matt Murphy è apparso prima nel Saturday Night Live, poi nel film "The Blues Brothers", nel ruolo di marito della cantante Aretha Franklin, e infine in "Blues Brothers: Il Mito Continua", entrambi diretti (questi ultimi) dal regista John Landis.
