A marzo sarà realizzato un grande concerto tributo in suo onore a New York

Il 23 marzo 2015, David Byrne (ed i Talking Heads) saranno omaggiati nel dodicesimo concerto-tributo organizzato da Michael Dorf alla Carnegie Hall, per sostenere l'educazione musicale nelle scuole americane. I primi artisti ad esser stati annunciati sono Alexis Krauss (Sleigh Bells), Beth Orton, Bebel Gilberto, Billy F. Gibbons (ZZ Top), Forro in the Dark, O.A.R., Perry Farrell (Jane's Addiction), Rufus Wainwright, Steve Earle ed i Roots. Il ricavato andrà in beneficenza alle associazioni Little Kids Rock e Midori & Friends, alla Church Street School of Music ed al Center For Arts Education. Tra i musicisti che sono stati omaggiati nelle precedenti edizioni Elton John, Bob Dylan, R.E.M., The Who, Simon and Garfunkel, Neil Young, i Rolling Stones, Robert Johnson, Prince e Paul Simon.
